Activities Director for Assisted Living

Responsibilities include:

• Vibrancy of the overall community including all residents being out of their rooms as much as possible.
• Ensuring that those that cannot attend a group activity have engagement and interaction with someone on a daily basis for at least 20 minutes.
• Held accountable for attendance at activities as they should be strongly promoting and encouraging good attendance.
• Attendance sheet at each activity signed or initialed by resident.
• Properly documenting for non-attending resident of daily activity that was engaged one on one.
• Weekly conversations with management on each resident’s engagement. 
• Creating Monthly Activity Calendar with 2 activities per day (morning and afternoon).

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication, including listening skills.
• Must have two years’ experience in geriatrics or equivalent.
• Familiar with gerontology and an overall view of health care delivery, including State regulations.
• Must have an overall “caring” personality and attitude.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted and 125 pounds per person in a two-person lift.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
