A growing hospital in Wakefield, Rhode Island is seeking an experienced Surgical Nurse Practitioner to support its surgical services. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of surgeons while providing exceptional perioperative and postoperative patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations
• Assist in the operating room as needed
• Manage inpatient and outpatient surgical follow-up care
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with surgeons
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and recovery
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
• Previous surgical or first-assist experience preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
