Staffing Development Coordinator - RN

Join the Highlands Rehabilitation and Wellness Center team in Birmingham, AL, where we bring skilled nursing, therapy, and rehabilitation together with the warmth and comfort of true Southern hospitality.

As a highly skilled and compassionate Staffing Development Coordinator - RN, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. Reporting to our Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for coordinating staffing schedules, conducting performance evaluations, and developing and implementing training programs to enhance the skills of our nursing staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and maintain a high level of patient care

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to nursing staff to improve patient outcomes

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of our nursing staff, including new hire orientation and continuing education

  • Collaborate with our education team to design and deliver educational programs that meet the needs of our nursing staff

  • Monitor and report on staffing metrics and identify areas for improvement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with other healthcare organizations to ensure a steady supply of qualified nursing staff

Requirements:

  • Current RN license to practice in the state of Alabama

  • Minimum 0 years of experience in a healthcare setting (new graduates welcome to apply!)

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
