American Electric Co Inc. is an established electrical contracting company known for quality workmanship and reliable service. We're looking to add an experienced trench/concrete worker to our team.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Trench/Concrete Worker to join our crew. This role is responsible for excavation, trenching, and concrete work in support of electrical installation projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in safe, quality work.
Responsibilities
- Dig and prepare trenches for underground electrical conduit and cabling
- Pour, form, finish, and repair concrete as needed for job sites
- Operate hand tools and light equipment (e.g., trenchers, compactors, saws)
- Read and follow site plans and job specifications
- Backfill and compact trenches to code and job requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with electricians and project supervisors on job site logistics
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in trenching, excavation, and/or concrete work
- Ability to read basic site plans and blueprints
- Comfortable operating hand tools and small equipment
- Physically able to perform manual labor, including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
- Prior experience on electrical or utility job sites a plus
