The opportunity:

• Support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility
• Primary duties include safely operating a lift truck or roll grab while performing a wide range of tasks in the warehouse or plant.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery, and have a desire to advance within the company.

What you need to succeed:

• Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned
• Ability to work safely, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and comply with all safety regulations
• Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills
• Ability to lift, push and/or pull 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift
• Flexibility to work longer hours; which include days, nights, and weekends
• 2+ years’ experience operating a sit-down forklift is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Job Summary:

The Floor Sweeper is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly work areas throughout the facility. This position ensures floors and common areas are free of debris, dust, spills, and other hazards that could impact safety, productivity, or quality standards. The Floor Sweeper works closely with operations and maintenance teams to support a clean and efficient work environment.

Must Haves:

• Know how to operate a broom

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Sweep and clean production, warehouse, and facility floors on a scheduled basis.

·        Remove trash, debris, dust, scrap materials, and waste from designated areas.

·        Operate manual and powered floor-cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

·        Inspect work areas for spills, hazards, or housekeeping issues and address them promptly.

·        Empty waste containers and transport materials to designated disposal locations.

·        Maintain cleanliness of walkways, workstations, break areas, and other common spaces.

·        Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and housekeeping standards.

·        Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to supervisors.

·        Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.

·        Support facility-wide housekeeping and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

·        Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

·        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

·        Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.

·        Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred:

·        Previous janitorial, housekeeping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.

·        Experience operating industrial floor sweepers or cleaning equipment.

Physical Requirements:

·        Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

·        Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements.

·        Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

·        Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments as needed.

Work Environment:

·        Manufacturing, warehouse, distribution center, or industrial facility setting.

·        Exposure to dust, noise, machinery, and moving equipment.

·        Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
