What You'll Do
Curriculum & Instruction
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences using our exclusive Wonder of Learning® curriculum
- Foster children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through purposeful play and exploration
Classroom Leadership
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, organized, and inclusive classroom environment
- Establish positive routines that encourage independence, confidence, and learning
Family Partnership
- Build strong relationships with families through open, ongoing communication
- Share children's progress, milestones, and daily experiences with parents and guardians
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to maintain a secure and supportive environment
Assessment & Documentation
- Observe and assess children's development and learning progress
- Use assessments to individualize instruction and share meaningful insights with families
Team Collaboration
- Partner with Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers to create a positive and productive classroom culture
- Contribute to a supportive team environment focused on student success
Professional Growth
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Stay informed on best practices in early childhood education
Social-Emotional Development
- Model and implement positive behavior guidance strategies
- Support children in developing healthy relationships, self-regulation, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education setting preferred
- Passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with the care and supervision of children
