Senior Project Accountant

About the Opportunity

A growing South Florida real estate development company is seeking a Project Accountant to join its accounting team. This position supports the accounting and financial reporting activities for real estate development projects and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the accounting and financial reporting for assigned real estate development projects.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other general ledger activities.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data and support project reporting.
• Collaborate with the accounting team on special projects and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Three or more years of accounting experience.
• Experience as a Project Accountant or in real estate development accounting preferred.
• Yardi experience is required.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and the month-end close process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
