CBG Surveying Texas is seeking an experienced Manager of Construction Surveying & Operations to build and lead our Construction Surveying Division.

This is not a Senior Surveyor or Party Chief position. We are looking for a proven leader with experience managing construction surveying operations, developing high-performing teams, estimating projects, and driving operational and financial success.

This is a unique opportunity to build a division from the ground up by establishing processes, recruiting and developing staff, overseeing major construction surveying projects, and expanding CBG's presence in the construction market.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Construction Surveying Division.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Develop SOPs, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Oversee construction surveying projects from planning through completion.
• Review plans, specifications, calculations, and technical deliverables.
• Prepare estimates, pricing, staffing plans, and project budgets.
• Develop relationships with contractors, engineers, municipalities, and developers.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, on time, and within budget.
• Drive quality control, profitability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geomatics, Engineering Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of construction surveying or surveying experience.
• 5+ years of management experience leading, developing, and mentoring teams.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, and managing employees.
• Strong estimating, budgeting, project pricing, and financial management experience.
• Experience managing multiple crews and complex construction surveying projects.
• Experience developing SOPs and scalable operational processes.
• PLS/RPLS license preferred.
