Cleaning Professional, Multifamily

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various locations, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Primary Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all common areas, including offices, community rooms, restrooms, hallways, and laundry facilities.
• Clean and prepare vacant apartments as assigned, ensuring units are fresh, clean, and odor-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of model and vacant units.
• Assist with basic grounds upkeep as needed, including coordination with grounds or maintenance staff.
• Ensure cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment are properly used, stored, and maintained.
• Notify management of needed supplies or any unusual conditions related to the property or residents.
• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and courteous behavior at all times.
• Follow company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards.
• Correct unsafe conditions when identified or report them promptly.
• Perform routine cleaning of work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Complete additional reasonable housekeeping duties as assigned.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company, local, state, and federal safety rules.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions.
• Maintain awareness of Fair Housing principles and complete required training.
• Participate in ongoing training as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
• Basic math skills related to job duties.
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work evenings or weekends if necessary.
• Must successfully pass required background and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs and ladders as required.
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment (up to approximately 50–75 lbs).
• Ability to work indoors and occasionally outdoors.
• Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and related odors.

Work Environment

• Primarily indoors with occasional outdoor duties.
• Frequent exposure to cleaning products, fumes, and solvents.
• May require working in tight or awkward spaces.

Experience

• Prior cleaning experience with experience cleaning residential, multifamily, or commercial properties preferred but not required; training will be provided for new team members
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
• Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members
• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for success in this roles.
