Objective
The Orthopedic Bracing Eligibility Analyst plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in the billing process by ensuring patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements are accurately verified and documented prior to billing. This position is responsible for high-volume data entry, insurance verification, and account preparation, creating a seamless workflow that allows the billing team to efficiently process claims and maximize reimbursement. Key Functions
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for durable medical equipment orders.
- Research Medicare and Medicare Advantage plan coverage requirements.
- Access insurance and portals to review claims history and coverage details.
- Analyze information to determine coverage eligibility and billing requirements.
- Apply Medicare and insurance guidelines to support accurate billing decisions.
- Maintain accurate and complete records within company systems.
Competencies
- Eagerness to learn healthcare insurance, Medicare regulations, and billing processes.
- Strong data entry speed and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
