Accounting Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, data analysis, and process improvements. This role helps ensure accurate financial records, supports servicing and government assistance programs, and contributes to a strong control environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data and resolve account discrepancies.
• Prepare documentation and process accounting adjustments.
• Research and resolve reconciliation exceptions.
• Coordinate with external partners to obtain transaction documentation.
• Process wire transfers related to servicing advances.
• Track receivables, reimbursements, and government incentive payments.
• Prepare reports and analyze servicing and portfolio performance.
• Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for management.
• Maintain process documentation and support cross-training.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting, financial analysis, or financial services experience.
• Experience in an analyst or reporting role within financial services.
• Mortgage servicing experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles.
• Experience with mortgage servicing systems (e.g., MSP) is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
