 Job Title:                                  Senior Plumbing Estimator

 Department:                             Commercial

Job Relationship:                     Supervised by Director of Pre-Construction

Purpose:                                  Ensure Punctual and Accurate Estimates

Responsibilities:

• Receives calls from General Contractors requesting bids, obtains Bid Invitations for review by Director of Pre-Construction and/or Vice President.
• Prepare Estimates and Proposals for General Contractors.
• Follow up on completed quotations for 1 week following proposal submission, and inform account representative of status of project.
• Responsible for job turnovers on awarded projects with assistance from Vice President as required.
• Assist Project Management in pricing requirements for change orders.
• Review Estimator’s and Project Manager’s completed Estimates and Proposals in the absence of Director of Pre-Construction.
• Attend site visits, walk thru’s, and pre-bid meetings as required.

Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of plumbing estimating and various types of plumbing systems required.  Capable of Light Commercial Plumbing design.  Good communication skills, good mathematical skills, excellent organizational skills, sales and negotiating abilities, and good computer literacy in Microsoft Office and on-screen take-offs is required.

Physical Demands:

Walking, sitting, standing, use of hands for computer, use of hands for writing, use of hands for calculator use, reading and or viewing computer screen for extended periods, verbal communication internally, verbal communication via phone, occasional lifting or carrying of files, drawings, and specifications (weighing as much as 40 pounds).
