Contract-to-Hire: Tax Manager 10909
Our client, located in Downtown Dallas, is looking for a Tax Manager to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.
This role is hybrid, with 3-4 days in-office per week.
Key Qualifications and Duties:
- Partnership tax experience is required (Form 1065 and Schedule K-1)
- CPA or Masters is highly preferred
- Private Equity industry experience is highly preferred
- Must have strong communication skills, be a self-starter, and be collaborative
- OneSource software experience is helpful, but not required
Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to join a collaborative finance team where they can take ownership of complex tax matters while partnering with leadership on strategic initiatives.
This role offers a mix of technical tax work, compliance oversight, and business partnership, making it an ideal fit for someone who enjoys both hands-on responsibilities and high-level problem solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of federal and state partnership tax returns and related filings.
- Prepare and review tax workpapers, estimates, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely, accurate compliance.
- Research technical tax issues and prepare memorandums supporting tax positions.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential business impacts.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision activities.
- Partner with Finance and Legal on acquisitions, entity structuring, and other strategic initiatives.
- Support tax planning efforts, process improvements, and other special projects.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience.
- Strong experience with partnership and pass-through taxation.
- Experience reviewing complex tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Excellent analytical, research, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively.
- Preferred Experience
- Big Four or large public accounting background.
- Experience supporting organizations with complex legal entity structures or capital-intensive operations.
- Exposure to the energy, infrastructure, construction, real estate, or similar industries is a plus.
- Experience with ONESOURCE or comparable tax software.
