Associate Corporate Security Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA
Job Type: Contract
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Experience: 0–2 Years
Education: High School Diploma or GED Required

Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Associate Corporate Security Analyst to support security monitoring and incident response in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Fusion Center environment. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of physical security operations, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and protect sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alarms, CCTV/video surveillance, and access control systems.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents and alarms.
  • Assess security situations and escalate incidents following established procedures.
  • Monitor multiple security platforms simultaneously while handling incoming security-related phone calls.
  • Document incidents accurately and maintain detailed security logs.
  • Protect and manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with security personnel, law enforcement, and other internal teams when necessary.
  • Follow security policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, public safety, investigations, or corporate security.
  • General understanding of physical security concepts and security technologies.
  • Ability to assess incidents and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced operations environment.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a government-issued security clearance, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Fusion Center, emergency communications center, or similar environment.
  • Experience with CCTV, alarm monitoring systems, Video Management Systems (VMS), or access control systems.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Work Schedule

This position requires working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a rotating schedule.

Rotation:

  • Week 1: Work Monday & Tuesday → Off Wednesday & Thursday → Work Friday, Saturday & Sunday
  • Week 2: Off Monday & Tuesday → Work Wednesday & Thursday → Off Friday, Saturday & Sunday
  • The rotation then repeats.

Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and the rotating schedule as assigned.
