Structural Fitter

(Kenner, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Structural Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience fitting and assembling structural steel components using blueprints, drawings, and measuring tools. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or fabrication environment.

Essential Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
• Lay out, fit, align, and assemble structural steel components.
• Measure, mark, and position materials using hand and power tools.
• Tack weld components as needed before final welding.
• Operate grinders, torches, and other fabrication equipment safely.
• Inspect fitted assemblies to ensure proper dimensions and alignment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements/Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of structural fitting experience in a fabrication shop, shipyard, or industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Proficient with measuring tools, layout techniques, and fitting procedures.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces as required.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and industrial environments.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the workday.
