Job Title: Electronic Technician
Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00/hour
Location: West Warwick, RI
Duration: Direct Hire (Permanent)
Shift: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking an Electronic Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing electronic products and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow established testing procedures and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electronic products and assemblies using established procedures and documentation.
- Verify that products meet electrical, mechanical, and quality specifications prior to release.
- Perform functional testing using diagnostic equipment and testing tools.
- Identify product defects or quality concerns and communicate findings to production or quality personnel.
- Complete repair and rework activities on electronic assemblies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of testing and repair activities.
- Assist with training and mentoring new team members on testing procedures and best practices.
- Follow all manufacturing processes, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with electronic equipment and small components.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret written work instructions, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills for accessing documentation and recording production information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new processes and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment.
- Experience performing quality inspections within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Prior experience in electronics manufacturing or production is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing detailed testing and inspection work.
- Frequent use of hands for handling small components, tools, and testing equipment.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Strong close vision, color vision, depth perception, and attention to visual detail for inspecting electronic components.
- Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks in a manufacturing environment.
