Pay Rate: $15.00–$20.00/hr (Welder) | $20.00–$25.00/hr (Experienced Fabricator/Welder)

Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a MIG Welder/Fabricator for a manufacturing facility in Livonia, MI specializing in custom automotive material handling solutions and fabricated rack systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, working from blueprints, and building custom products used throughout the automotive industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong MIG welding experience and the ability to produce quality welds while working with steel tubing, sheet metal, and fabricated components. Candidates with fabrication experience, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to independently assemble and weld custom projects are highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on custom automotive racks, fixtures, and fabricated components

• Weld steel tubing, brackets, frames, and assemblies according to specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings

• Measure, fit, tack weld, and assemble components prior to final welding

• Perform basic fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, drilling, and material preparation

• Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity

• Maintain proper welding techniques to meet customer and quality standards

• Work independently while maintaining production schedules and safety requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous MIG welding experience required

• Ability to pass a weld test prior to placement

• Experience welding structural steel, tubing, or fabricated assemblies preferred

• Ability to read and understand blueprints is strongly preferred

• Fabrication experience preferred (fit-up, measuring, cutting, and assembly)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday

• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• 1-hour lunch (30 minutes paid / 30 minutes unpaid)

• Weekend work is rare

• Temp-to-hire opportunity with the intent to hire directly after 90 days
