Pediatric Registered Nurse

Stamford Ct | Full-Time
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Wednesday – 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The Pediatric RN will provide direct nursing care to children and support families in a busy outpatient setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a warm, patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

  • Assess pediatric patients and collect relevant health information, vital signs, and histories.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the provider.
  • Support providers during examinations, procedures, and clinical visits.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and ensure timely charting of nursing interventions.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, clinical staff, and families to promote positive outcomes.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times.
  • Assist with triage, phone calls, and patient flow as needed in the office setting.


Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Pediatric and/or ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work well with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
