Job Title: Facilities Manager
Job Purpose and Position Overview: Snow & Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Manager to join our dynamic shipbuilding team. The Facilities Manager will oversee all building, grounds, and equipment-related activities across our shipyard, while actively supporting daily operations and production needs. This position is responsible for ensuring facilities, infrastructure, and yard logistics are fully functional, organized, and aligned with project execution.
In addition to maintaining facilities, this role plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency by managing yard flow, and equipment readiness. The Facilities Manager will work closely with Operations, Production, and Project Managers to prioritize work, remove obstacles, and ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position requiring independent judgment, technical precision, and innovative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
Facilities & Operations Leadership:
- Ensures shipyard facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are fully operational and aligned with daily production needs
- Works closely with Production and Project Managers to prioritize and execute work that directly supports project schedules and deadlines
- Takes ownership of overall yard readiness, ensuring workspaces, access, and equipment are available and optimized for production activities
- Manages fleet of vehicles and equipment including licensing and maintenance
- Rapidly identifies and resolves issues that could impact production flow, schedule, or safety
Yard Operations & Logistics:
- Manages equipment placement, and job site accessibility
- Coordinates subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of work across the yard
- Oversees dumpster usage, waste removal, and general yard cleanliness to maintain an efficient working environment
- Enforces site organization, parking, and yard usage expectations
Facilities Maintenance & Reliability:
- Ensures all facilities and equipment are maintained in a reliable, production-ready condition
- Develops and executes preventative maintenance programs with minimal disruption to operations
- Coordinates repairs, installations, and upgrades with a focus on minimizing downtime
- Serves as the primary point of contact for facilities-related vendors and service providers
Continuous Improvement & Planning:
- Identifies and implements improvements to yard layout, workflow, and operational efficiency
- Develops and manages task lists aligned with production priorities and timelines
- Supports facility upgrades, repairs, and capital improvement projects
- Provides recommendations for equipment replacement, upgrades, and capital purchases
- Contributes to budgeting and forecasting for facilities-related expenses
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, Operations Supervisor, or similar role
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or shipyard environments strongly preferred
- Experience supervising or directing labor teams required
- Act independently with limited supervisory oversight
Certifications / Licenses:
- Forklift Certification Preferred
Physical Requirements:
The work environment is a dynamic, active shipyard with moderate to loud noise levels due to ongoing production activities. Job duties are performed in office settings, outdoor yard spaces, and onboard vessels and may require:
- Ability to work in shipyard production areas and waterfront environments
- Ability to walk long distances, navigate uneven surfaces, and climb ladders or gangways
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of hands and arms
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Availability for extended hours or weekend work as needed
Pay and Benefits:
- $90,000 - $120,000 / annually
- Full time, overtime exempt position
