CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide direct patient care in a nursing home setting, primarily working the night shift. Reporting directly to the Charge Nurse, this role focuses on supporting residents with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining safety and hygiene standards to ensure a comfortable and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care focused on the physical and emotional needs of residents
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and consistently
• Maintain comprehensive medical documentation and patient records
• Assist residents with mobility and personal hygiene to promote dignity and comfort
• Implement and uphold infection control protocols and safety compliance
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and healthcare team members
• Ensure a safe environment for residents by following established safety procedures

Required Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in nursing assistance
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of patient care, vital signs monitoring, and infection control
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong communication skills and empathy
• Effective time management and teamwork abilities
