This role is part of our Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense business, which designs, develops, and delivers highly dependable missile systems for hypersonic and strategic missile defense missions. We provide integrated, mission-ready hardware that brings together multiple technologies into unified systems engineered to perform in demanding operational environments. Our tip-to-tail capabilities include payload protection and deployment systems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, missile subsystems, shroud systems, launch systems, and payload integration solutions.

As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will oversee daily maintenance activities, support preventive maintenance programs, and troubleshoot complex equipment issues to keep manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. You will provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel, assist with task coordination, and help maintain reliable equipment performance across the facility.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots equipment, hydraulic systems, vacuum systems, and compressors.
  • Performs routine lubrication and supports preventive maintenance programs for equipment and the facility.
  • Orders maintenance supplies and parts.
  • Assists with installation of equipment.
  • Operates forklift and manlift as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs fabrication tasks when required.
  • Provides day‑to‑day technical guidance to maintenance team members.
  • Helps prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities and supports troubleshooting of complex issues.
  • Communicates equipment status and maintenance needs to management and assists with onboarding and training of new technicians.

Required Qualifications

  • Mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Electrical maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) workplace safety standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team coordination experience.
  • Experience working in high‑volume, fast‑paced environments.
  • Forklift certification (available on‑site).
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
  • Experience working with hydraulic presses, autoclaves, and hydroclaves.
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees from diverse backgrounds.
