Maintenance Technician

PrideStaff is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the equipment located at a medical waste treatment facilities. The candidate will be required to service, maintain and troubleshoot and electro-mechanical equipment, including the robotic washline, Autoclaves, Boilers and facilities, supporting the site operations. The role includes occasional travel to support other facilities. The candidate shall have a strong background in maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment in a multi-shift or continuous operating environment.

Role Overview

The role is focused on the maintenance and servicing of equipment, installation of upgrades, emergency repairs and training the operations staff on the daily requirements to successfully run the equipment. The role will involve travel to each washline site as required to support breakdowns, upgrades, installations and emergency situations where service / maintenance personnel are required.

What you will do

• Daily Maintenance of equipment
• Perform hands-on on-site troubleshooting, service, and repairs
• Communicating with the Service and Maintenance team to arrange spare parts, travel
• Schedules and support
• Assemble, align, and install equipment and machine upgrades as necessary while adhering to
• Timeline and budget
• Interface with cross functional work teams such as plant operations, global operations, and suppliers
• Communicating with Operations Manager/ Plant Supervisors to arrange downtime to complete maintenance activities
• Reports each week of tasks completed still to be completed.
• Remote service assistance to plants with issues, get them back in production as quickly as possible.
• Interface with cross functional work teams such as plant operations, global operations, and suppliers
• Maintain Washsmart inventory at each location in conjunction with individual plant management to ensure plants are stocked effectively.

Requirements

Skills Qualifications

• Mechanical, experience in mechanical assemblies and production equipment
• Welding, experience of repair work
• Electrical, ability to identify electrical issues and communicate fault conditions
• PLC, ability to troubleshoot PLC controlled machines, with telephone support
