Facilities Maintenance Tech - Part Time (up to 29 hours)

Job Title: Part Time - Facilities Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Facilities Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team part time (up to 29 hours a week). This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure our facility's safety, functionality, and appearance. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of equipment and facilities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Ensure the building and grounds are clean, well-maintained, and safe, including basic landscaping and snow removal tasks.
• Assist in the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of office furniture and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized services.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Identify and recommend improvements to building systems and processes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in building maintenance or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Working Conditions:

• Regularly exposed to physical labor, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
• May require work in various weather conditions and outside of standard business hours.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
