About the Position
As a Maintenance Technician I/Driver, you will perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of the buildings do not deteriorate. Drive company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts/materials to local vendors.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance department in daily work requirements.
- Drive a company vehicle in all-weather elements.
The Successful Applicant
- Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
- Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability, and yield.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
- Performs maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Clean sand repairs building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains.
- Selects the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
- Works under moderate supervision.
- Provides excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Follows all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies.
A few notes on the Maintenance Tech I/Driver position:
- This is more of a facilities maintenance role than an industrial maintenance position.
- Duties include basic building maintenance, painting, lawn care, and general upkeep, with very little machinery maintenance.
- During the temporary assignment, the employee will not be driving. However, to be considered, they must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Please verify this with candidates before submitting them, as we'll most likely need to run an MVR.
- The company vehicle is a pickup truck, so no specialized driving experience is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or its equivalent, preferably; one to three years of related experience.
- Must hold a current non-provisional, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Must have a safe driving record deemed by insurance carrier.
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
- Understanding of electrical to include 120, 240, and 480 3 phase.
- Knowledge of PVC and pipe plumbing.
- Prefer candidate is mechanically inclined.
