Pride Health is seeking a Pathologists' Assistant to join the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory in Needham, MA 02494. This is a 3 Month assignment (Possibility of extension). opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!


Additional Information:

  • Location: Needham, MA 02494
  • Shift: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM /40 Hours/Week
  • Contract: 3 Months with possible extension

Travel Gross Pay: $2650 - $2760/Week

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
 

Job Description:

This role is responsible for the accurate gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens while ensuring compliance with CAP laboratory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong grossing experience in a high-volume, CAP-accredited laboratory.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Gross and examine surgical pathology specimens following laboratory protocols.
  • Process GI, prostate, breast core biopsies, skin excisions, GYN, POC, and other small biopsy specimens.
  • Ensure accurate specimen documentation and reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with CAP, laboratory, and quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support workflow.
  • Utilize laboratory information systems for specimen tracking and documentation.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Pathologists' Assistant studies or related field.
  • ASCP Pathologists' Assistant (PA(ASCP)) certification required.
  • 3–5 years of grossing experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory.
  • OR HTL (ASCP) certification with 3–5 years of grossing experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical pathology grossing protocols.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic Beaker.
  • Familiarity with Dragon Voice dictation software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
