Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support a housing community in the Jefferson City area. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and work order support throughout the property.

The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance throughout the property
• Respond to and complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with repairs involving basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, grounds, and other building maintenance needs
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete daily maintenance tasks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and staff
• Assist with tracking work orders, materials, and inventory as needed
• Participate in an emergency on-call rotation approximately every 6–8 weeks
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• General maintenance and preventative maintenance experience preferred
• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, cooling towers, or other skilled trades is a plus
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
• Basic computer or data entry skills are a plus, but not required
• Must have a valid Missouri driver’s license
• Must be able to meet job-related driving requirements, including review and approval by the company’s automobile insurance carrier
• Must be able to reliably report to properties in the Jefferson City area and respond to emergency on-call needs within required response times
