About the Role:
Riverwood Assisted Living Facility in Dobson, NC is looking for a compassionate and dependable Medication Aide to join our dedicated care team. Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and on schedule in accordance with care plans
- Document medication administration and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and escalate concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with state and facility regulations
- Communicate effectively with nurses, caregivers, and family members regarding resident health status
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications per facility policy
Requirements:
- Current, valid Medication Aide certification in the state of North Carolina
- Prior experience in an assisted living, long-term care, or skilled nursing facility preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
