Retail Assistant Store Manager

The Retail Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations of a high-traffic urban store, ensuring smooth in-store sales and excellent customer experiences. This role supervises a team of 11-20 staff, collaborating on team decisions while managing core functions including inventory, merchandising, and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support store team of 11-20 staff members
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts effectively
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and store operations efficiently
• Monitor sales performance and assist in sales analysis
• Conduct staff training and support schedule planning
• Oversee cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on team decisions and store goals

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in retail management
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong skills in customer service, inventory management, and cash handling
• Proven team leadership and conflict management abilities
• Experience with sales analysis and staff scheduling
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and time management skills
• Available for evenings, weekends and holidays.
