Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
The General Laborer supports the manufacturing process by moving parts through each production stage, performing basic quality checks, and operating equipment to ensure efficient and accurate workflow. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly across various tasks on the manufacturing floor while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the movement of parts throughout the manufacturing process to ensure proper workflow and productivity.
- Perform quality checks on parts and materials to verify they meet required specifications.
- Load machines with parts as needed, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Operate the wash tank to clean and polish tubes, ensuring finished products meet quality standards.
- Communicate machinery and equipment errors or malfunctions promptly to the supervisor to minimize downtime.
- Utilize an overhead crane to move materials safely and efficiently as required.
- Unbox items from incoming shipments and prepare them for use in production.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Comfort working in a unionized environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Reliability and strong work ethic in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Work Environment
This role is based in a unionized manufacturing facility with approximately 100 employees, offering a structured and collaborative production environment. The position is on 2nd shift, running Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The facility is not climate-controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Work is performed on the manufacturing floor around industrial machinery and material-handling equipment, including overhead cranes and other tools. Employees are expected to follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate attire suitable for an industrial setting while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
