Job Coach – IDD / Special Needs | Brooklyn, Staten Island ONLY
Full-Time | Field-Based Role | 40 Hours/Week

Human Edge Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated Job Coaches to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in securing and maintaining meaningful employment.

This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you’ll work directly with individuals at their job sites—coaching, training, and empowering them to succeed independently.

$18.00 – $21.00/hour (based on experience and education)

• Overtime opportunities when available

Full-Time | 40 hours/week
✔ Flexible schedule required (may include early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends)
✔ Field-based role – spend most of your time at job sites
✔ Assigned to ONE borough: Brooklyn & Staten Island Only

• Manage a caseload of approximately 10–15 individuals
• Provide on-site job coaching and training (90% field-based)
• Teach job tasks through modeling, demonstration, and guidance
• Support individuals in building confidence and independence at work
• Assist with travel training to and from job sites when needed
• Monitor progress and complete detailed service documentation
• Gradually reduce support as individuals become self-sufficient

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable professionals
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently in community-based settings
• Comfortable traveling within assigned borough

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1+ year experience working with individuals with disabilities
• DSP or job coaching experience
• Understanding of person-centered planning
