We are seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technician to join our growing healthcare team in Bronx, NY. This part-time opportunity is ideal for an ARRT-certified radiologic professional who is committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Pay
- $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
- Full-Time/Part-Time Position
What You'll Do
- Verify patient identity and review physician imaging orders before exams.
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray procedures following physician instructions.
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
- Position patients accurately for optimal image quality, including assisting patients with limited mobility.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and use protective shielding when appropriate.
- Evaluate image quality to minimize repeat exposures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers regarding imaging findings and additional studies when needed.
- Ensure X-ray equipment is clean, safe, and functioning properly.
- Report equipment issues or malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification required.
- Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
- Previous experience as an X-Ray Technician preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and radiation safety.
