Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join a legal team in Palm Desert, California on a Contract basis. This opportunity is suited for a detail-oriented litigation specialist who can confidently support civil matters through enforcement stages while keeping filings, deadlines, and case activity organized. The role requires strong judgment, accuracy, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload in a creditor-side legal environment.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee civil litigation support from file opening through post-judgment proceedings, ensuring matters move forward efficiently at each stage.
• Draft, assemble, and submit enforcement-related pleadings and supporting documents, including materials tied to levies and other recovery actions.
• Coordinate electronic filings in both state and federal courts with careful attention to timing, formatting, and court-specific requirements.
• Track hearings, response dates, and procedural deadlines by maintaining detailed litigation calendars and updating attorneys on upcoming obligations.
• Calculate filing and response timelines manually to confirm compliance with applicable rules and court schedules.
• Partner with attorneys on case strategy execution by organizing records, preparing documentation, and monitoring progress across creditor-side matters.
• Review filings and case activity for adherence to court procedures, litigation requirements, and established workflow standards.• At least 3 years of experience in a paralegal role focused on civil litigation.
• Demonstrated familiarity with post-judgment enforcement work and creditor-related legal matters.
• Hands-on experience submitting e-filings in both state and federal court systems.
• Strong calendaring ability, including the capacity to determine deadlines without relying solely on automated tools.
• Proven ability to work independently in a senior-level support capacity.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple active cases and shifting priorities in a fast-paced legal setting.
