Job Summary

Join a leading academic healthcare organization as a Full-Time Internal Medicine Physician with a unique opportunity to combine patient care, resident education, and leadership in value-based care and health equity. This faculty position offers the chance to mentor Internal Medicine residents while delivering comprehensive outpatient primary care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.


Compensation is competitive and based on experience and training.


Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME or AMA-accredited Internal Medicine Residency (Required)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (Board Certified Preferred)
  • Active Texas Medical License or eligibility to obtain one
  • Interest in Academic Medicine and Resident Education
  • Experience in Medical Education, Population Health, Health Equity, or Value-Based Care preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Clean malpractice and license history preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship not available)


Shift

  • Full-Time
  • Monday – Friday
  • Daytime Clinic Schedule
  • No Weekends
  • No On-Call Responsibilities


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient Internal Medicine care in a value-based care setting
  • Supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents in a clinical learning environment
  • Teach evidence-based primary care, population health, and health equity principles
  • Integrate social determinants of health into patient care and resident education
  • Participate in resident teaching activities including lectures, journal clubs, case conferences, and workshops
  • Mentor residents in quality improvement initiatives, research, and scholarly projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including care managers, pharmacists, behavioral health providers, and social workers
  • Utilize population health tools, risk stratification, and care coordination strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Participate in curriculum development aligned with ACGME competencies
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical process enhancements
  • Provide resident feedback and contribute to professional development and academic excellence
