Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

A well-established civil litigation firm is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of civil litigation experience to join its growing team.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney seeking meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, courtroom exposure, and mentorship from experienced litigators. Associates are involved in all phases of litigation, from case evaluation through discovery, depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial.

The firm's practice includes employment, real estate, business, personal injury, insurance, construction, and other civil litigation matters, representing both plaintiffs and defendants.

• Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and other legal pleadings

• Conduct legal research and prepare written legal analysis

• Prepare and respond to written discovery

• Take and defend depositions

• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses

• Prepare for and appear at hearings, case management conferences, and other court proceedings

• Assist with mediations, arbitrations, and trials

• Evaluate claims, defenses, damages, and settlement strategies

• Manage litigation deadlines and maintain organized case files

• Develop effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable client outcomes

• 1-3 years of civil litigation experience

• Active California Bar license in good standing

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Excellent organizational and case management abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Professional, ethical, and solution-oriented approach to client representation

• Experience with depositions, courtroom appearances, mediation, or trial is preferred but not required

• Demonstrated interest in developing litigation and courtroom skills

• Salary: $90,000-$120,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
