We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for a growing retail food store organization in Irving, Texas. This Long-term Contract position will work closely with cross-functional leaders to translate financial data into practical recommendations that guide business decisions. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building models, evaluating performance trends, and contributing to disciplined planning processes in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

• Partner with department leaders to prepare budgets, update forecasts, and support recurring financial planning activities across the organization.

• Produce monthly and quarterly reporting packages that highlight financial results, key trends, and performance gaps against plan.

• Conduct variance reviews to explain business performance and provide insights that support timely operational decision-making.

• Develop and maintain financial models used for planning cycles, scenario analysis, and special business requests.

• Assist with the financial evaluation of growth opportunities, investment considerations, and capital-related proposals.

• Perform ad hoc analysis and data mining to answer business questions and support strategic initiatives.

• Recommend and support enhancements to planning workflows, reporting tools, and overall efficiency within FP& A processes.

• Provide informal guidance to less experienced analysts when collaborating on shared projects or deliverables.

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP& A, or a closely related finance role.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis within a business-facing environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to create detailed financial models and analyze large data sets.
• Experience preparing financial reports and translating findings into clear, actionable business insights.
• Ability to perform ad hoc financial analysis and use data mining techniques to identify trends and drivers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with leaders across multiple functions.
• Experience supporting strategic planning, investment analysis, or capital request evaluations is preferred.
