Job Description

Valley Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for their Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care during night shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Emergency Department experience, and be capable of working independently in a small Critical Access Hospital located in Claremont, NH. This role offers a competitive pay range and excellent benefits in a supportive environment that values clinical judgment and compassionate care.


  • Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts | Every other weekend required
  • Hours: 36–40 hours/week (based on facility scheduling)

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for a diverse population from newborn to geriatric.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using critical thinking skills.
  • Monitor telemetry patients and manage cardiac monitoring systems effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Perform thorough patient assessments and promptly recognize changes in conditions.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation and patient records.
  • Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care in a rural hospital environment.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Active NH RN license or Compact RN license (must be held at application).
  • Minimum 2 years ICU, PCU, or Med/Surg nursing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years Emergency Department nursing experience.
  • Proven Telemetry experience.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certification.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certification.
  • Ability to work independently in a rural/small hospital setting.

 

Pay

  • $33.90 – $45.25/hr (Based on Experience)
