Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Description
This Civil Engineer role focuses on managing and supporting site civil and land development projects from initial planning through execution. The position involves providing technical guidance on design, preparing and reviewing site plans and drainage designs, and ensuring all work complies with regulatory and permitting requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, perform occasional site visits and inspections, and play a key role in both project delivery and team development within a highly collaborative office environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support site civil and land development projects from concept through completion.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight on site civil design, land development, grading, and stormwater management.
- Prepare and review site plans, subdivision layouts, and drainage designs to ensure accuracy and constructability.
- Ensure all designs and project documentation comply with applicable regulatory requirements and permitting processes.
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with internal engineering, surveying, and design teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Work directly with external stakeholders, including clients, reviewers, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate approvals and address technical questions.
- Lead and support permitting efforts, including preparation of applications and responses to review comments.
- Oversee project execution by managing schedules, deliverables, and quality standards for assigned projects.
- Provide direction and mentorship to other engineers, designers, and technicians, contributing to team development.
- Conduct occasional site visits and field inspections to verify design implementation and gather field data as needed.
- Participate in land development and site planning efforts for both municipal and private development projects.
- Support surveying and drainage design activities by coordinating with survey staff and integrating survey data into design work.
- Communicate project status, issues, and solutions clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to a collaborative office culture by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and engaging with leadership.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $73.00/hr.
