American Traveler is hiring a Staff RN for a Surgical Med/Surg/PCU night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

- Full-time, 13-week contract assignment on a Surgical Med/Surg/PCU unit \n
- Adult med-surg patient population \n
- Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am \n
- 36 guaranteed hours per week \n
- \n
- Active OH or compact RN license required \n
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required \n
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS \n
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) \n
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills required \n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent clinical decisions \n

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care using the nursing process \n
- Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge \n
- Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately \n
- Notify physicians of pertinent patient status changes and implement physician orders \n
- Supervise and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants \n
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible nursing documentation \n
- Role requires frequent patient handling and the ability to exert heavy physical force \n
- Work in a collaborative team environment supporting patient-centered care \n
