Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience for a Level 3 Trauma hospital setting requiring independent peripheral IV insertion skills.

Details\n

\n
• Inpatient and outpatient CT scanning across 4 rooms with an average caseload of 12-24 patients per day
\n
• Level 3 Trauma hospital with 237 beds and 59 ED treatment areas, handling a substantial volume of Stroke Alerts
\n
• Perform CT scans on IP, ER, and OP patients following facility protocols and policies
\n
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
\n
• 2x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Saturday-Sunday
\n
• Uses Siemens and Philips CT scanners, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS
\n
• Up to 4 on-call days (24-hour periods) may be assigned with 2-week prior notice
\n
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
\n
• Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience
\n
• Current BLS and ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
\n
• License required if applicable
\n
• Must be able to independently start peripheral IVs and obtain patient consent
\n
• Experience with abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT imaging
\n
• Experience with special procedures including brain perfusion and vascular CTA
\n
• Proficiency with Siemens and Philips CT equipment and Fuji PACS preferred
\n
• First-time travelers accepted
\n

• Collaborate with a team of technologists, nurses, doctors, and transporters in a positive and productive work environment
\n
• Gray scrubs required
\n
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
\n
• If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work them; if three major holidays fall during the assignment, two must be worked
\n
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
\n
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
