Is responsible for conducting system-wide surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAI) using nationally accepted definitions i.e. National Health Safety Network (NHSN) criteria and reporting HAIs and IP related measures to NHSN to meet regulatory and facility-specific reporting requirements.Job Requirements:
\n Education and Work Experience:
\n Associate's Degree in Nursing or Public Health or related field or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
\n Two years' of experience in healthcare associated infection surveillance using NHSN definitions: Required
\n Prior experience with surveillance systems (e.g., Epic, VigiLanz, Theradoc, or comparable): Preferred
\n Licenses/Certifications:
\n Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC): Preferred
\n Certified Infection Control (CIC): Required
