Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU position requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele-PCU experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
\n
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
\n
• Uses Meditech EMR
\n
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 and 4x12 rotating weeks (19:00-7:30)
\n
• Works an 84 hours per two-week schedule (36/48 rotating)
\n
• Floating required within scope of practice
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license (KY State or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
\n
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
\n
• Minimum 2 years of current MS/Telemetry-PCU experience required
\n
• Driver's license required with address matching permanent address
\n
• Two professional references required: one Charge or Higher and one Supervisor, both completed within the last year
\n
• Copy of certifications required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide nursing care to patients in a progressive care/stepdown telemetry unit
\n
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
\n
• Facility will consider up to 7 days of RTO, which must be presented upfront with no changes accepted
\n
• Must work either a major or minor shift of every holiday
\n
• Traveler pairs are accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
\n
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
\n
• After working one year, travelers must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
\n
• First-time travelers are not required for this position
\n
