Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg float position requiring 3 years of experience and comfort caring for occasional critical care patients.

  • Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital environment
  • \n
  • Position functions as a Med/Surg float role
  • \n
  • Must be comfortable caring for occasional critical care patients
  • \n
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15
  • \n
  • Required to work every other weekend (EOW)
  • \n
  • Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
  • \n
  • Expect to work some holidays during the assignment
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license in South Carolina (Standard or Compact) required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted
  • \n
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • \n
  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
  • \n
  • Two supervisory references required for consideration
  • \n
  • Copy of certifications required for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • \n
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • \n
  • Local candidates accepted at the local rate
  • \n
  • Former permanent staff must have separated from the facility for at least 5 years before becoming eligible to return as a traveler
  • \n
  • RTO requests should be kept to a minimum, with no time off requested during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full calendar weeks during the assignment
  • \n
  • Any RTO must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment
  • \n
