Requirements:
\n • Shift: REMOTE Days | Mon–Fri | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• BSN required
\n • Active California RN License
\n • Magnet ANCC-recognized Case Management certification (CCM, ACM-NBCM, etc.)
\n • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience
\n • Minimum 3 years of Utilization Review/Case Management experience
\n • Cerner experience
\n • Understanding of MCG and Utilization Review requirements for concurrent and initial reviews
\n • Utilization review, Case management, Performance improvement
\n • Managed care reimbursement
\n • Milliman Care Guidelines (MCG)
\n • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, payer, and healthcare financial requirements
\n • EMR navigation and UR documentation tools
\n • Proficiency in Cerner, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Important Notes:
\n • Candidate must provide their own equipment for chart reviews
\n • Performs inpatient and observation utilization reviews
\n • Reviews medical necessity using clinical documentation, evidence-based guidelines, and payer requirements
\n • Collaborates with physicians, revenue cycle, and healthcare teams
\n • Prepares clinical summaries for payer communications and peer-to-peer reviews
\n • Participates in audits and quality improvement initiatives
