Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU
Location\nBowling Green, KY
Schedule / Job Type\nContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide direct patient care in a Neuro ICU setting with the ability to float to stepdown at a 1:4 ratio \n
- Perform and document stroke signs and symptoms assessments using established tools such as BE-FAST \n
- Administer IV-tPA and conduct post-tPA monitoring in accordance with current stroke guidelines \n
- Complete bedside dysphagia screenings and maintain competency documentation \n
- Apply knowledge of current guidelines and performance measures for Acute Ischemic and Hemorrhagic strokes \n

- Valid Kentucky RN license or active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) \n
- Minimum of 9 months of travel nursing experience required \n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only accepted) \n
- Current NIHSS certification (certificate on file, obtained within 2 years of start date) \n
- Stroke signs/symptoms competency and bedside dysphagia screening competency on file \n
- Requested Time Off (RTO) must be included at time of submission \n

- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a certified stroke center critical care unit \n
- Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) highly preferred \n
- Familiarity with IV-tPA administration and post-tPA monitoring protocols \n
- Meditech EMR experience preferred \n
