Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Syracuse, NY

Position Type: Contract

Pay Rate: Traveler: $40–$45/hour

Shift & Schedule:

• Day Shift

• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Must be able to start on a Friday (ASAP)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join an acute care team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and patient care skills, experience in an inpatient setting, and the ability to provide quality nursing care with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or physician.

• Greet patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist during examinations.

• Measure and record vital signs and patient progress.

• Administer injections and assist with clinical procedures.

• Assist physicians with patient care and treatments.

• Schedule appointments and perform general office duties.

• Obtain insurance authorizations and physician referrals.

• Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas.

• Document patient care using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

• Observe and report patient responses to treatments.

• Participate in nursing unit operations and quality patient care.

Requirements:

• Current New York State LPN License

• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience

• CPR Certification (or ability to obtain)

• Inpatient experience preferred

• EMR experience strongly preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Work Setting:

• Acute Care Setting

• Day Shift

• Full-Time Contract Assignment
