GMAW Production Fabrication Welder

About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a manufacturing client in Sulphur Springs, TX to add a hands-on welder to their team. If you enjoy building reliable products from print to finished assembly, this role is for you.

A Day in the Life

You clock in, review the day’s build list, and pull prints and schematics. You set up your GMAW station, check your jig fixtures, confirm measurements with a tape, and start fitting components. You tack, weld, and assemble sub-units, verifying alignment as you go. Throughout the shift, you inspect your welds, keep a tidy and safe work area, and collaborate with teammates to meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Fit and weld parts in jigs and build sub-assemblies to spec
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics to guide work
• Use a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions
• Join and fabricate components to meet production schedules
• Deliver consistent, quality welds while following safety procedures

What You Bring

• MIG (GMAW) welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Comfort reading technical drawings and blueprints
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Willingness to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl while working on equipment
• Must be able to pass a weld test

Proficiencies and Tools

• Production welding setups; blueprint interpretation
• Equipment exposure: MIG welder and stick welder
