Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team at Absolut Center of Endicott. As a CNA, you will play a crucial role in providing direct care and support to our residents, assisting with activities of daily living, and promoting their well-being and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility

• Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents, promoting their dignity and independence

• Assist with feeding and hydration as needed, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration for residents

• Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure

• Assist with transferring and positioning residents safely and comfortably

• Observe residents' conditions and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff

• Maintain a clean and orderly environment in resident rooms and common areas

• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in meaningful interactions and activities

• Follow all established protocols and procedures to ensure resident safety and well-being

   

Requirements:

• Hold a valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with the state licensing board

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Proven experience working as a CNA in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members

• Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

   

Work Environment:

• Work in a four-star skilled nursing facility in Endicott, NY

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals

• Provide care to a diverse population of residents

   

Benefits:

• $20.50 - $24.50/HR

• shift differential for evening and nights
