Senior Underwriter - Excess Casualty

Our client is a top Fortune 500 specialty insurance company with locations nationwide! They are currently seeking a Senior Underwriter to work on a hybrid basis in their New York City office and manage their agency partners in the Northeast.
 
This role will focus on underwriting Excess & Surplus Casualty risks including Commercial Auto and Transportation accounts.
 
Responsibilities:
•Underwrite new and renewal business throughout the specified territory
•Analyze individual risks to determine acceptability of accounts
•Adhere to established underwriting guidelines
•Meet with agents to promote and cross-sell company products
•Collaborate with other departments to ensure company growth and success
 
Qualifications:
•5+ years of commercial liability underwriting experience
•Bachelor’s Degree and industry designations such as CPCU preferred
•Ability to travel
