WELDER HELPER / FABRICATION ASSISTANT

Monday - Thursday, mandatory overtime as needed

7:00 am - 5:30 pm

$17.00 - $19.00 or hour, DOE

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist welders with setup, fit-up, and fabrication of metal components.
Gather, organize, and transport tools, materials, and equipment throughout the shop.
Clean, grind, and prepare metal surfaces before and after welding.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other shop equipment.
Hold, clamp, and position materials during welding and fabrication.
Load and unload materials using proper lifting techniques or equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment is a plus.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Basic knowledge of welding processes is preferred but not required.
Must wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
