Certified Nursing Assistant (Sr. Care Unit/PRN)

The CNA will assist with routine and repetitive patient care. This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.Key Position Accountabilities:Contribute information in day to day management of patient careCarry out routine nursing care measures as delegatedAssist in delivering general hygiene such as bath, shower, grooming, mouth/denture careAssist in elimination via urinals, bedpans, bowel and or bladder programsTransferring and ambulating patientsAssist with post mortem careAssist in preparing patients for meals including feeding patientsAssist in turn, cough and deep breathing routinesAssist in activities of daily livingAccept supervision and seek assistance as neededDemonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients assignedComply with job related behavior as outlined in the employee handbookEducation/LicensureHigh School diploma or equivalentLicensed by the State of Arkansas as a Certified Nursing AssistantWorking ConditionsMust be able to do heavy lifting and moving of patientsMust be able to stand and walk 90% of working hoursMust be able to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions and to maintain nursing records and chartsMust be able to interact professionally with patients and familiesHearing and speech is essential to communicate with patients, staff, visitors and other professionalsMust have reliable transportation
